Mildred Wesley

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Gene Jones, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church Ministry Center. There will be a private interment in Dreamland Cemetery. Mildred C. Wesley was born on November 4, 1918 in Memphis, Texas to Henry and Lena Arnold Farquhar. She married Luther Wesley on December 11, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1997. Mildred was a homemaker and enjoyed working on sewing machines and going to garage sales. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Canyon. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Jimmie Wesley, in 2010, Raymond Wesley, in 1995, and Harley Wesley, in 1981. She is survived by two sons, Leon Wesley, of Granbury, and Larry Wesley and wife, Janice, of Amarillo; a daughter, Becky Haralson, and husband, Jerry, of Lubbock; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; and a special friend, Carlton Patterson, of Canyon. The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church, 1717 4th Avenue, Canyon, TX 79015.
