Mildred Blake

December 31, 1969 — March 21, 2010

Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 23 at the West Sanctuary at Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo. Mildred Louise Haddock Blake was born March 23, 1926 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Clyde and Ida Belle Lemmon Haddock. Mildred served the Texas Panhandle community tirelessly for many years as a substance abuse counselor. She touched the lives of literally hundreds of people during her career. Her family will treasure her memory as the greatest mom and grandmom ever. Preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Leroy Haddock, and a brother, Donald Haddock. Survivors include her three children, Stephen Blake, Paul Blake and wife, Christy, and Susan Blake-Caldwella brother, Raymond Haddock and wife, Bruni. Also survived by her grandchildren: Aaron Blake, Zack Blake, Katie Blake, Wendy Blake Frick, Austin Blake, and Anita Hill, as well as 6 great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Marla Blake. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Baptist St. Anthony"s Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
