Melvin Airehart

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 1 at Brooks Chapel with Jerry Davey, officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo. Melvin was born September 21, 1926 in Enid, Oklahoma to George and Bertha Airehart. On February 19, 1948 he married Ellen Kinslow in Anadarko, Oklahoma. From 1949 to 2003 they resided in Tulia, and then moved to Amarillo until his death. Melvin was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed trucks, ice cream, and he loved his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Airehart, of the home; daughter, Bonnie Paschall, of Amarillo; two sons, Mel Airehart, of Burns Flat, OK, Robert Airehart, of Welling, OK; sister, Helen Butts, of Ft. Worth; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 6605 I-40 West, Amarillo, TX 79106.
