Max Kennedy

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 2 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. David L. Lowrie, Jr., pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Max Kennedy was born August 12, 1936 in Ropesville, Texas to Henry and Melcennie Threadgill Kennedy. Max graduated from Olton High School in 1955. On January 24, 1958 he married Donna Burrow in Olton. Max served in the US Army from 1959 to 1961. Max was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. Max is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna; two sons, Ron Kennedy and wife, Lisa, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Dan Kennedy and wife, Tammy, of Springtown, Texas; four grandsons, Braden and Rosston Kennedy, Robert and Brent Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.
