Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at St. Ann's Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Brooks Chapel. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be at Dreamland Cemetery. Mary Beth Yarbrough was born on March 31, 1949 in the Panama Canal Zone to Robert and Beverly Corey Paonessa. She received a business degree from Marycrest College in Davenport, IA in 1971 and later received her teaching certificate from WTSU and was a special education teacher. She married David Yarbrough in Chicago, IL on August 8, 1976. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army, leaving as a captain in 1977 to raise her family. She and her husband were stationed throughout the U.S. and Germany and settled in Canyon in 1992 after David retired. Mary Beth was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling and loved her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bobby Paonessa. Survivors include her husband, David Yarbrough, of Canyon; two daughters, Christy Yarbrough, of Canyon and Beth Verrette and husband, Blair, of Dallas; a son, Patrick Yarbrough and wife, Tasha, of Dalhart; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Ireland, Landry, Camden, and Finley; three sisters, Donna Gunyon and husband, Mick, of Knoxville, TN, Peggie Fustino and husband, Jim, of Atlanta, GA, and Barbara Warby and husband, Ken, of Cincinnati, OH; one brother, Mike Paonessa and wife, Chris, of Atlanta, GA; numerous in-laws that she loved; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family suggests memorials be to St. Ann's Catholic Church, PO Box 59, Canyon, TX 79015.
