Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Brooks Chapel, with Bobby File, minister of Evangelical Fellowship Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Brooks Chapel. Mary Anis Bowman was born on March 5, 1922 in Carey, Texas. Her parents were James Edward and Anna Elizabeth Bowman. She graduated from Carey High School in Carey, Texas. She attended Draughn?s Business College in Fort Worth. She married Riley William Troth on February 7, 1942. She retired from the WTSU Bookstore after 20 years of service. She loved her family and served others through Hospice of Canyon, Meals on Wheels, baking cookies for City Church, and loving others through gifts of muffins and meals. She was a faithful member of Evangelical Fellowship Church in Amarillo. She and Riley were one of the founders of Hidden Falls Ranch. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Morgan Bowman, her nephew, John Dan Bowman, and the love of her life, Riley Troth. She leaves behind a blessed family, two daughters, Lynda Callaway and husband, Baxter, of Childress, and Holly Jo Troth of Canyon; two grandchildren and their spouses, Kim and Rick Zimmer of Amarillo, and Wade and Bethany Callaway of Gruver; and eight great grandchildren, Andrew, Zachary, Rylee, and Faith Zimmer, and Creed, Keegan, Caris, and Kinley Callaway. She is also survived by a niece, Joyce Edwards, of Wheeler. The family would like to thank Marla Gales and all of the staff at True Blessings of Canyon, the staff at BSA Hospice, and especially Tracy Dotson, Hospice Pharmacist, for the loving care of our mother and grandmother. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Brooks Chapel. The family suggests memorials be to Canyon Hospice Nursing Scholarship, in care of WTAMU Foundation, WTAMU Box 60766, Canyon, TX 79016, or a favorite charity.
