Mary Sibley

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon, Texas with Andrew Cunningham, grandson, officiating. She will lie in state at Brooks Funeral Directors 1:30 P.M. on Monday. There will be a visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 12, 2007. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mary Jewell Bolton Sibley was born on February 14, 1908 in Benton, Tennessee to John Parker and Nancy Eliza Lillard. She was one of eight children. She married Lewis K. "Butch" Bolton on May 3, 1934 and later married E. A. Sibley in July1972. She was a devoted Christian mother and grandmother who read her Bible daily. She always remembered each family member"s birthdays. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon for 35 years and a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church of Amarillo in her later years. Survivors include her three daughters, Nancy Don Cunningham and husband, Bill, Ruth Ann Kauffman and husband, James, and Mary Sue Miller and husband, Leonard; ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
