Mary Prichard

Services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Gene Jones, associate pastor of First Baptist Church of Canyon, officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mary Lee Prichard was born on June 13, 1925 in Abilene to Benjamin Franklin and Minnie Lee Ray. She married Arnold Prichard in Portales, NM on June 22, 1941. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2001. They lived in Portales and Hereford before moving to Canyon in 1955. Mary loved her family and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Deana Norman, two infant sons, James Arnold and Donald Edward Prichard, and a sister, Maudine Harragan. Survivors include her son, Stan Prichard and wife, Rosemary, of Dallas; her grandson, Jason A. Norman, of Amarillo; a brother, Melvin Ray and wife, Betty, of Portales, NM; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Hopper, of Roswell, NM and Bonnie Prichard, of Hobbs, NM; her son-in-law, Lindy Norman, of Amarillo; and five nieces and nephews.
