Mary Ann Lemons, 53, of Amarillo, died Sunday, February 8, 2003 in Amarillo. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church of Canyon, with Rev. Clark Williams, pastor, officiating. Ms. Lemons was born on February 14, 1949, to Sug and Beth Lemons of Memphis, Texas. She was graduated from Memphis High School and West Texas A&M University. She served for 23 years as a social worker with the Texas Department of Child Protective Services and was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. Ms. Lemons was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Mary Lemons of Wichita Falls and John and Bess Moreland of Durant, Oklahoma, and by her parents. Survivors include her dear friend, Mike Montague; her brother and his wife, John and Sherry Lemons of Canyon; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Bobbie and Jim True, of Beaumont; Judy Lemons Davidson of McAllen; and Betty Lemons Pelfrey of Canyon. She is also survived by thirty nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; her Rowzee and Montague families, several aunts and cousins; and a host of dearly loved friends. The family suggests memorials might be to the First United Methodist Church, 1818 4th Avenue Canyon, TX 79015; or to BSA Hospice, PO Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176; or to the Rainbow Room, 6200 I-40 West, Amarillo, TX 79106.
