Mary Huntington

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Rev. Phu Phan officiating. Vigil will be at 7:15 P.M. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Brooks Chapel. Viewing will be Monday and Tuesday at Brooks Funeral Directors. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mary was born on October 8, 1922 in Greencastle, Indiana, and was the oldest daughter of John and Virginia Tzouanakis. She married Ralph Huntington on June 14, 1946 in Greencastle, Indiana. She was the Canyon City librarian for 34 years and was an active member of St. Ann's Catholic Church since 1962, when her family moved to Canyon. Mary enjoyed volunteering in her daughter's classroom at Reeves Hinger Elementary School for many years. Her hobbies included genealogy and reading. She was known as Marga to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, in 2002 and her daughter, Nancy, in 2009. Survivors include sons, Jerry Huntington and wife, Rachel, and Stephen Huntington; daughters, Kathy Stevens and husband, David, and Betsy Smith and husband, Eddie; two grandchildren, Suzi Stockton and Jono Huntington; and 11 great-grandchildren.
