Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at St. Mary"s Catholic Church in Umbarger with Rev. Scott Raef officiating. Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary"s Catholic Cemetery, Umbarger, Texas. Mary L. Grabber was born on February 3, 1926 in St. Florian, Alabama to Joseph H. and Clara Hager Rietman. She graduated from Littlefield High School and met John Grabber while working in Tulia, Texas. They were married at Charleston, Arkansas on January 9, 1952 and made their home in Umbarger. She was a cook at the First Baptist Church for several years and was a member of St. Mary"s Catholic Church in Umbarger. Survivors include her husband, John Grabber, of the home; four daughters, Patricia Grabber, of Claude, Clara Grabber and Bernadette Townsend, both of Canyon, and Irene Grabber, of Amarillo; two sons, Jim Grabber, of Umbarger and Thomas Grabber, of Amarillo; one sister, Amelia Furlow, of Lamesa; one brother, Joe B. Rietman, of Charleston, Arkansas; and seven grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Catholic Family Services, 200 S. Tyler, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
