Martha Joyce

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Steve Olsen, pastor of First Baptist Church of Canyon, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Martha Van Joyce was born on November 24, 1939 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Van and Hazel Haney Joyce. She graduated from North Little Rock High School and attended Oklahoma State University. She later graduated from West Texas A&M University. Martha was an avid golfer and after she was no longer able to play, she would still go and watch friends play at the Amarillo Golf Club. She was a member of Amarillo Ross Rogers Ladies Golf Association. She also enjoyed substitute teaching at Randall High School, but her greatest enjoyment was her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include three children, Craig Troub, of Canyon, Wendy Mountain and husband, Stuart, of Canyon, and James Troub and wife, Melissa, of Omaha, NE; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Phillip Joyce and James Joyce, both of North Little Rock, AR; and her husband of 41 years, G. Max Troub, of Canyon.
