Marjorie Porter

Marjorie Gayle Porter, 79, died on April 29, 2018 in Amarillo, TX. Graveside services will be 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 2 at Dreamland Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at 10:30 A.M. at the First Baptist Church with Gene Jones, officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Gayle was born July 26, 1938 to Ray and Lois Douglas Moore. She married Larry Porter on January 24, 1958 in Spearman. He preceded her in death in 2009. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Kay Doyle. Survivors include her daughter, Pam Bergstresser and husband, Jeff of Amarillo; son, Curt Porter and wife, Teresa of Amarillo; two granddaughters, Ashley and Kaylee Porter; two brothers, Doug Moore and wife, Joy of Boerne, Randy Moore and wife, Gina of Oak Point; and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorial be made to the First Baptist Church, 1717 4th Avenue, Canyon, TX 79015.
