Marian Franklin

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Church of Christ on 6th Ave. and 21st St. in Canyon, Texas with Howard Morris officiating. On March 20, 2011 Marian Joyce (Smith) Franklin finished her race and went home to meet her Lord. She was born on March 17, 1940, and for 71 years she loved her God, her family, and her country. She touched many lives through her courage and selflessness. She has left a great void here, but we rejoice with her in her triumph over death. Sending her off on her journey home were her husband of almost 51 years, Kerry Neil Franklin, and her children Niki Fuss, Garland Franklin, Skipper Franklin, Rene" Saenger, daughter-in-love Leslie Franklin, and son-in-love Jeff Saenger. She was a loving Granny of nine grandchildren: Emily, Jacob, Britainy, Justin, Addison, Ryleigh, Sarah, Nathan, and Jeremiah. Her siblings also rejoice with her: Charlie Smith, twin brother Royce Smith, and Betty King. They take comfort knowing she was reunited with their parents Sadie and Bill Smith.
