Margaret Murdock

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the United Methodist Church of Happy with Rev. Tom Stribling, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery, Happy, Texas. Margaret Murdock was born on February 11, 1933 in Silverton, Texas to G. S. and Vergie Hodges Harris. She married Alfred Ray Murdock. She owned Al"s Restaurant in Happy for over 30 years and then owned restaurants in Amarillo, Dimmitt, and Tucumcari. She was an excellent cook and loved to play Bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999, and one daughter, Tanya McCarley, in 2000. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Hargrave and husband, Mark, of Happy; six grandsons and eleven great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Happy Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 216, Happy, TX 79042.
