Marcia Morris

Mrs. Marcia Ann Morris, 72, a resident of Canyon, Texas, passed away on May 23, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas. Marcia was born on May 15, 1953, in Leadville, Colorado. In her early years, she worked as a bank teller and as an assistant accountant at the local mine, where she met her husband before moving to Wallace, Idaho. She later devoted herself to raising her children while living in Juneau, Alaska; Troy, Montana; and Leadville, before eventually settling in Canyon, Texas. As her children grew older, Marcia worked as a teacher's aide, helping children with dyslexia at Canyon Junior High-a role she found especially meaningful. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rachel Bernice Mason, and her brothers, Daniel and Larry Mason. She is survived by her beloved husband, Tracy Morris; her son, Shelby Morris, his wife Rebecca, and their daughters, Isla and McKenna; and her daughter, Darby Sweet, her husband Fred, and their daughter, Genevieve; and her brother, Robert Mason, and sister, Billie Lantz. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 10:00 a.m. at Brooks Funeral Home in Canyon.
