Marc Christian Irwin, 25, of Canyon, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with his father, Marc Irwin, and Trent Tanaro, Spiritual Care, Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice of the Southwest, officiating.
Marc was born on March 29, 1996 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Marc and Stephanie (Melby) Irwin. He graduated from Canyon High School in 2018 and dearly loved his teachers and the friendships he made in the TLC Classroom. After graduation, Marc attended Advo Companies, a center for the developmentally handicapped founded by Carla Hughes. He enjoyed living in a group home with three roommates and attending the ADVO Center day-hab program. Marc always loved being outside, swinging, jumping on his trampoline, or riding his three-wheel bike.
Marc was preceded in death by three grandparents, Eva Melby, Wanda Jo Irwin, and David E. Irwin, and his cousin, David H. Sharrett. Survivors include his parents, Marc and Stephanie Irwin; sister, Ashley Irwin Franklin; brother, David Earl Irwin; grandfather, Kenneth Melby; aunts and uncles, Valari and Bob Gibbs and their daughters, Amber, Beth, and Meg, Vicki and David Sharrett and their sons, Chris and Brooks, Jill Charlotte Irwin and daughter, Kate, Bradley and Ann Dee Klas and their children, Collin, Kendalyn, and Danica, Kenneth and Carrie Melby, II and their children, Kenneth, Caitlin, and Chandler, and Kristopher and Kerrie Melby and their children, Aerica and Thorin.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Carla Hughes and the staff at ADVO, Rebecca Pedroza and family, and Delores Luna and family for their devoted and loving care of Marc.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate memorial donations be made to Advo Companies, Inc., 5241 S. Washington, Amarillo, TX 79110.
