Madelene Brown

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Faith Community Church in Canyon, with Rev. Damon Deaton, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 P.M. on Monday at Fairmont Cemetery in Follett, Texas. Madelene Brown was born on March 5, 1919 in Sunset, OK to Samuel and Hester Woods. She graduated from Beaver High School in Beaver, OK and married Noble Lewis Brown on September 3, 1938 in Buffalo, OK. They lived in Follett, TX for 62 years where they attended Follett Chapel. In 2000, they moved to Canyon where they attended Faith Community Church. She spent the last few years of her life living in Brookdale Senior Living in Amarillo. She loved being a housewife and taking care of her children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Noble Brown, daughter, Sandra Elaine Brown and son-in-law, Dean Hamilton. Survivors include her children, Jean Ann Hamilton, of Lubbock, and Nolan Edward Brown and wife, Janie, of Canyon; grandchildren, Brian Hamilton and wife, Terri, of Rockport, IL, J'Non Gage and husband, Steve, of Lubbock, Brent Brown, of Austin, and Stephen Brown and wife, Angela, of Canyon; four great- grandchildren, Rachel, Grant, Carmen, and Connor; and numerous friends and relatives. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Faith Community Church in Canyon, 2706 4th Ave. Canyon, TX 79015.
