Lynnda 'Lynne' Marie Baldwin, 72, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Brooks Chapel.
Lynne was born on June 12, 1952 in Canyon, Texas to Charlie and Molly Sue (Edmonds) Edwards. She graduated from Canyon High School in 1970 and attended West Texas State University. She married Johnny Lee Baldwin on March 24, 1979 in Tulia, Texas.
Lynne worked as the bookkeeper for Bolton Electric in Amarillo for a number of years before becoming the project manager for World Electric in Florida. Returning to Texas, she worked for the State of Texas as the building manager and regional business officer, retiring in 2022.
Lynne was very artistic and an avid scrapbooker. She was extremely talented in painting, sewing, writing poems, making candles and designing jewelry. She loved genealogy, tracing her family back many generations. She and Johnny enjoyed camping and traveling over the years touring most of the United States with their children. She treasured the many trips visiting battlefields, battleships, zoos, museums, national parks and many other sites with her family.
Lynne is preceded in death by four brothers, Bobby, Jerry, and Jackie Edwards, and Kim Cawthon, sister, Cindy Cawthon, her parents, Charlie Edwards and Molly Sue Graff, stepfather, Dee Cawthon, and a son, Shane Baldwin.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Johnny Baldwin; two daughters, Stacy Fry and husband, Jimmy and Jalee Baldwin Gomez; son, Jared Baldwin; two brothers, Homer and Deward Cawthon; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
