Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 19, 2003 at Holy Name of Jesus Chatholic Church in Happy with Monsignor Stortz, pastor, officiating. Rosary will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 18 at Happy"s Memorial Chapel with Deacon Amos Perez officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery. Mr. Garcia was born on December 12, 1927 in Sodville, Texas to Jose and Paula Hernandez Garcia. He married Josephine Gutierrez at Sinton, Texas on September 4, 1949. He moved from Sinton to Happy in 1964. He farmed and ranched and lived a fulfilling life as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Happy. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1993, and one daughter, Irma Garcia, in 2002. Survivors include two sons, Lupe H. Garcia, Jr., and wife Laurie, of Lubbock, and Ruben Garcia, and wife, Lucy, of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Joey Garcia, Roman Garcia, Cherre Juarez, Ruben Dru Garcia, Lacy Cruz, and Nikki Garcia; and eight great grandchildren.
