Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 1, 2013 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Canyon with Rev. Phu Phan officiating. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Brooks Chapel. Graveside services will be at 3:30 P.M. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Anton Cemetery, Anton, Texas. Lupe Echevarria was born in Buda, Texas on November 13, 1934 to Raymond Aldaco and Julia Pastrano Aldaco. She married Marshall Echevarria on June 23, 1956 in Anton, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who devoted her life to the care of her family. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and going to the casinos. In addition to being a homemaker, she devoted her later years to being a caregiver. Prior to that she was employed at West Texas State University, Amarillo College, Modern Cleaners and Cecil's Cleaners. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marshall, and her grandson Marshall Lee Echevarria, III. Survivors include her three sons, Marshall Echevarria, Jr. and wife, Gloria, Roy Echevarria, and Ernest Echevarria, of Canyon; three daughters, Laurie Echevarria, of Amarillo, Norma Hernandez and husband, Mario, of El Paso; and Marsha Higgins and husband, Josh, of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Larissa Vasquez, Warren Simmons, Bridget Daly, Brandon West, Elise, Kimberly, and Adrian Echevarria, and Austin and Hunter Higgins; eight great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Ophelia Echevarria and husband, Abel, of Amarillo, Amelia Gonzales, Mary Esqueda and husband, Noel, of Hereford, and Cruz Alcado and wife, Chris, of Anton.
