Ludene Grush, 91, of Canyon, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Brooks Chapel with David Lough officiating.
Ludene was born on July 27, 1931 in Tulia, Texas to George and Louise (Spradley) Tucker. She was a graduate of Tulia High School.
Ludene married her first husband, Pete Curtis, in 1946 and then in 1965 she married her second husband, Dr. Kenneth Grush. They both preceded her in death.
Ludene was an avid cowgirl. She spent most of her time riding a horse and won multiple trophies in barrel racing. She loved spending the summers trail riding in Colorado once she retired from racing. She was a member of the University Church of Christ.
She was also preceded in death by five of her brothers, her granddaughter, Kasey Curtis Hill and her daughter-in-law, Martha Curtis.
Survivors include her sons, Bryan Curtis and Forrest Curtis; grandchildren, Richard Curtis, Kenneth Curtis, Cody Curtis and wife, Sara; five great grandchildren; siblings, Valton Tucker and wife, Vicki, Jeanette Poole and husband, Wayne, Tem Tucker and wife, Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews.
