Louese White

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 17 at Happy's Memorial Chapel from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 18 at the First United Methodist Church of Happy with Rev. Tom Stribling, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Happy Cemetery. Louese was born February 1, 1928 to William Henry and Clara Wolfenberger Hardaway. She graduated from Dumas High School in 1944 and then from McMurray College in 1948. She married George White in 1949. He preceded her in death in 1990 and in 2011 her very special friend, Si Elliott, preceded her in death. Louese was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Happy and she was also a member of Eastern Star. Louese was an avid sports fan of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. She loved all the time that she spent with the staff and residents at the Hudson House. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and seven brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Garrett, of Vega; three grandchildren, Rustee Garrett, of Amarillo, Mistee Garrett, of Amarillo, and Kevin Garrett, of Vega; eight great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
