Lois McDonald, 69, of Arlington, formerly of Canyon, died Saturday, February 8, 2003 in Miami Beach, Florida Services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 14, 2003 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Rev. David Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church of Canyon, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Lois McDonald was born on August 26, 1933 in Chanute, Kansas to Ellard and Bertha Olsen Libby. She graduated from Chanute High School and attended the University of Kansas. She married Ralph McDonald in Kansas City, MO in 1953. She moved to Pampa in 1955 and she was a troop leader in scouting for both boys and girls. She moved to Canyon in 1972 to attend Amarillo College where she received her RN degree. She retired in 1996 and moved to Arlington in 1998. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977 and one son, Danny McDonald, in 2001. Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Goodman, of Arlington, Debi Luera, of Amarillo, and Pam Shaw, of Canyon; one son, Dwain McDonald, of Pensacola, FL; one brother, Orville Libby, of Sparks, NV; ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 411 S. Fillmore St., Amarillo, Texas 79101.
