Lloyd Ellis

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Bruce Kirby, pastor of Parkland Baptist Church of Clovis, and Rev. Alan Stoddard, pastor of First Baptist Church of Ruidoso, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery, Canyon, Texas. Lloyd Earl Ellis was born on August 12, 1922 at Lorenzo, Texas to William Thomas and Mineola Crossland Ellis. He retired from the State of Texas Highway Department and moved to Ruidoso in 1992. He worked for the Ruidoso Race Track for 7 years and was employed at present with Onda Oil Company for the past 17 years. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Bessie Ellis, of Ruidoso, NM; a daughter, Sandra Burrus, of Canyon; a son, Bobby Earl Ellis, of Canyon; five grandchildren, Kelly Burrus Daniel and husband, Troy, of Friona, Chris Burrus and wife, Angie, of Hereford, Cameron Burrus and wife, Pam, of Umbarger, Jason Ellis and wife, Wendy, of Sunspot, TN, and Tori Ellis Sandoval and husband, Tiago, of Clovis, NM; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, Emily; and a sister, Willie Lou Jeffreys, of Conroe, TX.
