Lester Hopper

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 20 at Happy Cemetery with Melvin ""Hap"" Ander, of Longview, Missouri, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 19 at Happy's Memorial Chapel. Lester W. Hopper died Monday, January 18, 2010 in Amarillo where he has lived the past five years. He was born September 7, 1929 to Lester Ed and Arta Hopper in Iowa Park, Texas. Mr. Hopper was a veteran of the US Army. Survivors include his wife, Irene, of the home; a sister, Jewell Boothe, of Lundy, Missouri; three sons, David Hopper, of Missouri, Leslie Hopper, of South Dakota, and Allen Hopper, of Missouri; a daughter, Gail, of Missouri; and a special friend and brother-in-law, Johnny Parker, of Happy.
