Leon Gheer

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 4 at the First Baptist Church with Curtis House, pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Leon was born May 21, 1941 in Brushy Knob, Missouri to Albert and Alice Gheer. On May 2, 1969. He married Essie Dianna Sluder in Olton, Texas. Leon was an installer for Western Electric for 30 years and also spent 14 years working for Lowe's Home Improvement. He attended the First Baptist Church and volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America. Survivors include his wife, Dianna; son, Landon and wife, Linnea; and two grandsons, Lawson and Leighton.
