Leo Criddle

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 18 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. David L. Lowrie, Jr., pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Dreamland Cemetery. Leo Criddle was born November 8, 1933 in Houston, Mississippi to Jimmy and Edna Dunn Criddle. On November 24, 1952, Leo married Ruby Yarbrough in Sumner, Mississippi. They moved to this community in 1957. Leo was the caretaker at Dreamland Cemetery for 28 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon. Leo was preceded in death by a son, Michael Criddle; a grandson, Kevin Seymour; and three sisters. Leo is survived by his wife, Ruby; a son, Steve Criddle, of Brandon, Mississippi; two daughters, Karen Seymour, of Canyon, Robin Alexander, of Fritch; a sister, Faye Benner, of Tunica, Mississippi; and four brothers, Ernest Criddle, of Crenshaw, Mississippi, W.D. Criddle, of Austin, TX, Jerry Criddle, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Sonny Reynolds, of Houston, Mississippi. The family requests that memorials be made to Dreamland Cemetery, PO Box 38, Canyon, TX 79015 or to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 1717 4th Avenue, Canyon, TX 79015.
