Lee Parker, 93, of Canyon, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Brooks Chapel with Marcus Melton officiating.
Lee was born on October 22, 1931 in Gasoline, Texas to Hershel Lee and Annie (Shepard) Parker. He was a graduate of Turkey High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Lee married Joy Gregg on December 4, 1958 in Plainview, Texas and they moved to Canyon shortly after. He worked as a computer programmer for Pioneer Natural Gas for many years and was a rural postman in Hereford.
Lee was a very talented carpenter and enjoyed watching old westerns, car races, and football in his leisure time. He spent much of his time playfully harassing Joy and will be lovingly remembered for his great sense of humor. He had a longtime affiliation with the Church of Christ.
Lee is preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Eudy and her husband, Tom.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Joy Parker, of the home; three children, Christi Mahan and husband, Doug, Mark Parker, and Cathy Melton and husband, Marcus, all of Canyon; and six grandchildren, Tyler, Brett, Tanner, and Justin Mahan, and Parker and Josie Melton.
