Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Happy Cemetery with Tadd Mann, pastor of Palo Duro Cowboy Church, officiating. Lawson B (LB) Turner was born on May 22, 1944 in Jacksboro to RB and Margaret Thetford Turner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He worked for many years as a field operator for Phillips Petroleum. LB enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include a son, Larry Turner and wife, Shelly, of Stratford; a daughter, Elaine Turner, of Ft. Worth; one granddaughter, Sidney Turner, of Stratford; five brothers, Terry Lynn Turner, of Bellevue, Billy Don Turner and Harvey Turner, of Roundup, MT, Ray Bob Turner, of Thermopolis, WY, and Hoyt Wayne Turner, of Roundup, MT; and three sisters, Shirley Holeman, of Canyon, Gail Mosley, of Amarillo, and Debra Sue Carruth, of Dallas. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, PO Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.
