Memorial services will be held at Kokernot Lodge, Loop Rd. Alpine, Texas on Monday, August 9, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held in the Canyon Cole Community Center at 300 16th St. in Canyon, Texas on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery, two miles south of Canyon. Laura Mae Bassett (nee Bryan) passed away on Sunday, the 8th of August 2004, peacefully at home in Alpine, TX, surrounded by her loving family in her 75th year. Cherished wife and best friend of Gordon for 54 years. Much loved Mother and Mother-in-law of Lecil and Annette (Huntsville, Ark.); Alton and Elizabeth (New Zealand); Troy (Alpine, Tx); and Gayle and Rayshel (Amarillo, Tx). Adored Grandma of Desri; Melissa and Nick, Janelle, Andrea; Tyler, Brett; Linneya, Miranda, Rebecca, and Breanna.
