Laqueta Koenig

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 7, 2012 at Brooks Chapel with Father Robert A. Busch, Superintendent of Catholic Schools and head of school at Holy Cross Catholic Academy, officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Laqueta was born on April 9, 1929 in O"Brien, Texas to Chester L. and Liddie Belle Yates. She was a member of St. Ann"s Catholic Church in Canyon. She loved crafts, especially her needle work. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her children, Judy Ann Koenig Alonso and husband, Robert, of Washington and Colleen Macaugley, of Washington; brother, Guy Yates, of Canyon; sister, Katherine Simpson and husband, Gary, of Cape Caranchua; 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and several great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Dr. Leigh Browning and Michael Hager.
