L. Benham

L.H. Speck Benham was born December 26, 1926 in Hall County to Les and Fannie Crain Benham. He married Monita Steen on March 7, 1956. Speck worked for Diamond Shamrock for almost 25 years as a truck driver and he also worked for the CISD Maintenance Department for about 10 years. He was a member of the Canyon City Masonic Lodge #730 and the First Baptist Church. Speck loved traveling to Laughlin, Nevada. He and Monita were Snow Birds during the winter months. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Weldon Benham. Survivors include his wife, Monita, of Canyon; four sister-in-laws: Jo Carthel, of Lubbock, Clydele Steen, of Sweetwater, Linda Steen, of Roswell, NM, Lorene Benham, of Amarillo; brother-in-law, Buddy Steen and wife, Donna, of Mansfield; cousin, Dorothy Timmons, of Ceevee; and many nieces and nephews. *Please sign our online guest registry at www.brooksfuneral.com
