Kylie Hiner

Mass will be said at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Father Robert A. Busch, Ph.D, officiating. A vigil will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 18, 2016 at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Kylie Sheree Hiner was born on April 23, 1992 in Oklahoma City, OK to Mark and Mary Artho Hiner. She graduated from Canyon High School in 2011 and enjoyed volunteering her time at Feldman's, Pepitos, and the Hudson House. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Canyon Special Olympics and the Catholic Student Center. In Special Olympics, Kylie competed in bowling, track and swimming. She loved going to church, making crafts, texting, videos (especially Youtube), swinging, and walking her dogs, Mattie and Boomer. Kylie also loved people and knowing their names was important to her. She loved to call friends and family and sing 'Happy Birthday'. Her greatest love, though, was her family and the Canyon community. Kylie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leo and Rita Artho, and her uncle, Harold Wilhelm. Survivors include her parents, Mark and Mary Hiner; her sister, Lauren Hiner and special friend, Ben Arbuckle; her grandparents, Ron and Deloris Hiner; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; her special teacher and friend, Lynelle Mackechnie; and her many special olympian friends. The family requests memorials be to Special Olympics Texas, 1804 Rutherford Lane, Austin, Texas 78754 and specify Canyon Eagles Special Olympics, or to St. Ann's Catholic Church, PO Box 59, Canyon, Texas 79015.
