Kenneth Weavers

Services will be Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Happy with Pastor Larry Miles officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery. Kenneth Leo Weavers was born on February 11, 1940 in Mary"s Home, Missouri; he was the son of the late Herman Weavers and Opal McNew Weavers Jones. On May 16, 1958, he married the late JoAnn Neill of Tulia, Texas. After moving to Happy, in 1969, he worked at Wallace Motor Ford Company and then owned and operated Ken"s Garage for many years prior to beginning his career with Randall County Sheriff"s Office in 1984 and retiring in 2003. After retirement, he worked for City Machine and Welding Inc. in Amarillo for several years. He loved family, friends, music, dancing, helping others and having a good time. He was preceded in death by sisters, Marie Young and WillaMae Schulte and brothers, Roman and Joseph Weavers. Special thanks to Dr. Bruce Baker, Dr. Steven Rossi and staff, and the staff of Swisher Memorial Hospital. Survivors include two sons Micheal Weavers, of Amarillo and Cody Weavers and wife Kassi, of Canyon; a daughter Kelly Hudspeth and husband Greg, of Amarillo; granddaughters Stormi Bryan and husband Chris, of Weatherford, Courtney Hudspeth, of Amarillo, Mikala Weavers, of Happy, Tyler Harrison, Faith and Jaidyn Weavers, of Canyon; great grandchildren Bentley, Emery and Slayde Bryan, of Weatherford; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials can be made to the Happy Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 261, Happy, Texas 79042.
