Kenneth Blackwell

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 9 at Brooks Chapel with Ricky Pfeic, pastor Emeritus at Accelerated Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Kenneth Dewain Blackwell was born on April 9, 1951 in Meridian, Mississippi to Jake and Sadie Blackwell. He moved to Canyon where he has resided with his wife for twenty years. He is a retired TDCJ correctional officer of 20 years. Kenneth enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and cooking, although his favorite time was spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William Earl (Billy) Blackwell. Survivors include his wife, Viola Lynn Blackwell; four stepchildren; five wonderful grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece.
