Kena Michelle Reno, also known as Sissy and most famously known as Gran Gran, 57, of Cleburne Tx, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Dreamland Cemetery with Deacon Brian Lewis officiating.
Kena was born on September 21, 1968 in Borger Tx to Kenneth Reno and Sandra (Reno) Durham. She attended school in Borger. She served as a Detention Officer at the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado.
Kena was known for her mischievous spirit and for living life unapologetically as herself. She was the definition of spunky – a woman who spoke her mind and never made excuses for who she was.
Of all the roles she played, her most treasured was being Gran Gran. She lived for the moments she could spoil her grandkids, making every visit count. She was a master conspirator with her grandchildren, always ready to join in on their mischief with a laugh that told you exactly whose side she was on. Kena never missed an opportunity to brag on them, sharing stories of their lives with anyone who would listen.
Kena is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Reno; her two brothers, Kevin Sargent and John Victor Reno; and a nephew, Michael Sargent.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kevin Mayberry of Burleson, Larry Lusk and wife, Samantha of Groom, and Lynda Krutsch and husband, Ethan of Canyon; six grandchildren, Madison and Tatum Lusk, and Landon, Aubrey, Morgan, and Riley Krutsch; her mother, Sandra and father, Pete Durham of Amarillo; four siblings, Troy Reno and wife, Debra of Borger, Kathy Sargent Glenn and husband, Darrel of Elmwood, OK, Trina Burke and husband, Shannon of Texhoma, and Kimberly Durham of Amarillo; and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to Gracie’s Project, PO Box 2512, Amarillo, TX 79105.
