Kaye Henderson

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Canyon with Rev. Darren Dye, pastor of Canyon Christian Church, and Rev. David Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Patria Kaye Henderson was born March 27, 1943 in Wellington, Texas. She married Durwood Henderson on April 7, 1966. They made their hom in Canyon for over 37 years. She was the owner of Tweedledee ChildrenA???s Clothing Store in Canyon from 1972 through 1997. She was active in the Canyon Study Club, the Mentoring Program for Lakeview Elementary, First Baptist Church Sunday School and Canyon Christian Church. She also was involved in missionary work in Monterrey, Mexico. She was a member of Pioneer Promenaders Square Dance Club and Caprock Cruisers motorhome club. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Peeples. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Tawny Lewis, and husband, Howard, of Canyon, and Markaye Rothman, and husband, Bob, of Evergreen, CO; her mother, Hellen Peeples, of Canyon; one sister Gayle Hamby, and husband, Ray, of Greenbelt Lake; one brother, Kent Peeples, and wife, Elaine, of Canyon; and four grandchildren, Tiffany and Brittnye Lewis and Joshua and Justin Rothman. The family suggests memorials be to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 1717 4th Avenue, Canyon, TX 79015, and / or Canyon Christian Church Building Fund, 8410 Hunsley Rd., Canyon, TX 79015.
