Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Happy"s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Stribling, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Happy, officiating. Viewing will be at Happy"s Memorial Chapel beginning Monday, March 31, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at Happy Cemetery in Happy, Texas. Katie Mae Gaulden was born on October 4, 1916 to Everett and Eva Dixon Burks in Arney, Texas. She was a member of Eastern Star and Plum Creek Baptist Church in Amarillo. She enjoyed going to the Arney Club. Survivors include sister, Rachel Hunter, of Dimmitt, TX; seven nieces and nephews, Richard Hunter and wife, Sissy, of Dimmitt, TX, Dr. Ronald Fortner, of Amarillo, Mona Bishop and husband, Jim, of Pampa, Larry Burks and wife, Linda, of Amarillo, Robert Fortner and wife, Melody, of Amarillo, Ronnie Burks and wife, Nancy, of Dallas, Gregg Burks and wife, Lisa, of Cummings, GA; and numerous great nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to the Arney Club, 2551 County Road 610, Happy, TX 79042.
