Karen Dulaney

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 17 at the First Baptist Church of Canyon with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor First Baptist Church of Amarillo, officiating. Interment will be at Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Karen was born May 6, 1948 in Canyon to Crawford Ruthart and Margaret Billingsley Ruthart. She graduated from Canyon High School in 1966. She married Kirk Thomas Dulaney in August of 1974. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a long time Canyon resident. She was retired from USDA Wildlife Services. She was known to her grandchildren as MeMe, and they were her pride and joy. Karen loved life and everyone enjoyed her sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include her two children, Jason Dulaney, of Amarillo, Sara McClure, of Canyon; three grandchildren, Kyler Wilhelm, Macy McClure, Kaylee McClure; two sisters, Sharon Henry, of Canyon, Donna Ruthart and husband, David Carter, of Amarillo; four nephews, Michael Webb and wife, Angel, of Cypress, Jeff Henry, of Canyon, Kevin Henry and wife, Courtney, of Amarillo, and Matthew Webb and wife, Cynthia, of Lubbock. The family suggests that memorials be made to Cal Farley?s Boys Ranch, PO Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.
