Kaitlyn McCarley, 28, of Happy passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Happy with Rick Bloodworth, minister of Happy Church of Christ, officiating. Graveside will follow at Happy Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Happy's Memorial Chapel. All viewing will be at Happy's Memorial Chapel.
Kaitlyn was born on September 1, 1992 in Amarillo to Bill and Holly McCarley. She graduated from Happy High School in 2011. She attended Angelo State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology, after which she attended Texas Tech University, graduating with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018. She was a physical therapist at BSA in Amarillo.
In high school, Kaitlyn enjoyed participating in rodeo and stock show. She also played basketball and was a cheerleader. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Kaitlyn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerry and Sharon McCarley, and grandfather, Michael Wilson.
Survivors include her father, Bill McCarley of Happy; mother, Holly McCarley of Canyon; brother, Trenton McCarley and sister, Ashton McCarley, both of Canyon; grandmother, Claudia Wilson of Canyon; great-grandmother, Allene Beets of Canyon; great-aunt, Jody Magness of Canyon; aunt, Shann Newsome and husband, Harold of Canyon; uncle, James Wilson of Muleshoe, and numerous other great aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Happy Volunteer Fire Department, 106 N Talley, Happy, TX 79042 or American Cancer Society,
