Justin Grand Pre

August 24, 1971 — February 22, 2025

Justin Dean Grand Pre, 53, was born August 24, 1971 in Denver, CO and placed in the loving arms of Carroll (Chuck) and Elizabeth (Betty) Grand Pre at the age of 10 days. He unexpectedly passed away at his home on Saturday February 22, 2025. Memorial services for Justin will be at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Canyon, Texas. All friends and family are invited to a catered gathering at Country Home Weddings (24900 South Soncy Rd, Canyon, Texas) after the service from 3:00-6:00 P.M. Burial will be at a later date in Wisconsin. Justin's childhood included family camping trips with his cousins, raising and showing rabbits, training and showing horses and being a typical teenage boy. He graduated from Frederick High School in Frederick, CO in 1989. He moved to the Texas Panhandle, via Lamar CO, to attend college at WTAMU and ultimately ended up making Canyon his home. Justin started working in the animal health distribution industry in the early 90's before joining entrepreneur, Dane Noyce, in a variety of successful businesses. Together, they conquered opening the Holiday Inn Express in Hereford, started both a livestock feed and animal health marketing company and ultimately focused on Panhandle Express, a Hereford, Texas based trucking company. At the time of his passing, Justin was the Operations Manager for Panhandle Express LLC in Hereford Texas. Justin was an extremely dedicated employee/partner and worked with Dane for over 31 years. Justin was married to Angie (Welch) Moore from 1997 to 2009, during which they started CBT Productions, a barrel race production company that continues as CBT Barrel Racing. Outside of the business world, Justin was well known for his generous demeanor and unyielding spirit, as well as many OCD characteristics and organizational skills. He had numerous friends, and socializing with them was his number one hobby as an adult. Whether it was at a local eating establishment, his home, on the golf course, in the mountains, attending a charitable event or playing cards, Justin lavished the time and attention of those around him. Justin is survived by his mother, Betty Verdegan of Canyon TX; father, Chuck Grand Pre of South Padre and Canada or somewhere in between; brother, Ryan Grand Pre of Cleveland TN; nephews, Austin Grand Pre of Denver CO and Eric Grand Pre of Columbia SC; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to continue Justin's generous giving, the family suggests that donations be made in his honor to the Randall County Jr. Livestock Association (PO Box 1141, Canyon, TX 79015) or the Spicer Gripp Memorial Youth Foundation (PO Box 2237, Hereford, TX 79045). Honorary pallbearers are his sizable group of friends and co-workers.
