Judith Rueda

Judith A. Rueda, 60, of Canyon, died Monday, January 20, 2003 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2003 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Rev. Phu Phan, pastor, officiating. Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 pm Wednesday, Jan. 22 at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mrs. Rueda was born on May 25, 1942 in San Antonio to Al and Estella Mesa Cortez. She graduated from San Antonio High School and married Robert Rueda in San Diego, CA on May 30, 1964. They moved to Canyon in 1998. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Robert, of the home; one daughter, Judith Rueda, of Davie, FL; three sons, Robert Rueda, of Davie, FL, Roland Rueda, of Lubbock, and Ricardo Rueda, of Canyon; two brothers, Richard Barrientez and Al Cortez, Jr., both of San Antonio; five sisters, Evangeline Gonzalez, of San Antonio, Blanca Blanco, of Houston, Lorraine Ramirez, of San Antonio, Lucille Maldonado, of Austin, and Debbie Olvera, of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren; grandparents, Frank and Anita Morales, and paternal grandparents, Trinidad and Petra Cortez; and several nieces and nephews.
