Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Palo Duro Cowboy Church in Canyon with Tadd Mann, Pastor of Palo Duro Cowboy Church, officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery. Judith Kay Gibson Grabber was born on July 19, 1941 in Dalhart, Texas to Oscar and Janice Gibson. She graduated from Stinnett High School and went to work for Phillips Petroleum, first in Borger and later in Amarillo. She married Ed Grabber in Stinnett on April 30, 1966. They made their home northwest of Canyon where they have lived ever since. Judy became a full-time partner and help-mate to Ed as well as becoming a mother of six children and later providing child care to about 50 more children, retiring in 2005. Judy is preceded in death by her father, Oscar. Children, Duane Grabber and wife, Liz, of Connecticut, Joanna and husband, Terry Watkins, of Georgia, Debbie and husband, Mark Malone, of Borger, Gina and husband, Mike Long, of Ohio, Alanna Grabber, of Canyon, and Laura Lindsey, of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren; mother, Janice Gibson and brother, Ted Gibson, both of Colorado Springs; sister Phyllis Ann Hanes, of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the patients of Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, in care of Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation, 1600 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106, or a favorite charity.
