Joyce Simon

Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 3, 2003 at Dreamland Cemetery with David Lough, pastor of University Church of Christ, officiating. Mrs. Simon was born on April 28, 1939 in Canyon to George and Modena Webb Barker. She graduated from Canyon High School in 1958 and attended John Robert Powers School of Modeling and Draughn School of Business. She married James Curtis Simon in Randall County on December 17, 1965. They lived in Canyon, Hereford, Amarillo, and then in 1991 moved back to Canyon. She was a member of the University Church of Christ in Canyon and the Mother of Twins Club in Hereford. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Don Simon, in 1998. Survivors include her husband, Jim Simon, of the home; four daughters, Mindy Greewood, and husband, Mike, of Amarillo, Crystal Lee, and husband, Bruce , of Red River, NM, and twins, Christina Simon and Clarissa Ballejo, and husband, Joe, all of Amarillo; two sons, Dale Simon, and wife, Debra, of Sonora, CA, and Kurt Simon, and wife, Rhonda, of Rogersville, MO; one sister, Barbara Dutton, and husband, Joe, of LaJunta, CO; thirteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
