Josephine Baca

Mass will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 25 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Fr. Robert A. Bush PhD., celebrant, officiating. Vigil will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 24 at Brooks Chapel with Deacon Gabriel Rivas, officiating. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery. Josephine was born June 27, 1916 to Luis and Abelina Gonzales Borquez in Norton, New Mexico. She was a long time member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Circle of the Holy Spirit. Josephine loved to garden, to dance, and she loved her family. She was a long time resident of Canyon. She was preceded in death by a son, T.B. Baca; a daughter-in-law, Jean Baca; two grandsons; her parents; and two sisters. Survivors include her three children, Eddie Baca, of Amarillo, Bennie Baca and wife, Merlinda, of Amarillo, Pauline Rivas and husband, Gabriel, of Canyon; a daughter-in-law, Juanita Baca, of Canyon; twelve grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; and thirteen great great grandchildren.
