Johnny Ingle, 77, of Canyon, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor David Crump, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel.
Johnny was born on February 11, 1945 to James Alvis Ingle & Birdie Nixon Ingle. On April 2, 1965 he married Shirley Stephens at First Baptist Church of Shallowater. Johnny worked for the phone companies G.T.E., Windstream and later Valero, for over 35 years in Denver City, San Angelo and Seagraves. He served as an ordained deacon and ran the sound for his church for many years. He enjoyed wood working, gardening, and remodeling.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, James and Birdie Ingle, his sister Christine Ingle Mills of Springfield MO, and his wife, Shirley of 51 years.
Survivors include three children, Donnie Ingle and wife, Donna of Amarillo, Darla Lowry and husband, Charles of Canyon, and David Ingle and wife, Jennifer of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a sister, Juanita Ingle Cato of Amarillo.
