Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 10 at the First Baptist Church in Canyon with Rev. Reed Redus, assistant pastor of First Baptist Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. John "Jack" W. Vetter was born May 31, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York to George and Clara Kirk Vetter. He married Rosie Eudey on February 4, 1960 in Amarillo. Jack served in the U.S. Air Force as an MP. He was a Salesmen for McCormick/Schillings for 23 years and he was also employed by Kraft Foods for 10 years as a Field Merchandiser. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon, where he was involved with sound and funeral meal ministries, a deacon, and Sunday School. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Paul Michael White, in-laws, Riley and Velma Eudey, and brothers-in-law, CD Eudey and Jerry Eudey. Survivors include his wife, Rosie, of Canyon; daughters, Sharon White and husband, Gary, of Amarillo, Susan Aldridge and husband, Duke, of Bend, OR, Sandra Nolan and husband, Bill, of Canyon; grandchildren, Chase Aldridge, of Las Vegas, NV, Courtney Aldridge, of Ft. Worth, and Ashley and Whitney Nolan, both of Canyon; brother, George H. Vetter and wife, Pat, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; sisters-in-law, Neva Eudey, of Beaver, OK, Gladys Eudey, of Sorrento, LA; and a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Collen Ticer, of Plainview. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Hospice Care of the Southwest, 1301 S. Coulter, Ste 404, Amarillo, TX 79106.
