John Royal

John H. Royal, 98, of Canyon died Sunday, December 8, 2002 in Canyon. Graveside Service 12:00PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at Dreamland Cemetery with Rev. David Lowrie, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Canyon, officiating. John H. Royal was born April 25, 1904 in Abbott, Texas to Thomas and Bertie Mae Cline Royal. He attended school at Abbott and Brooken Creek. He married Dollie O'Lena Fincher in Amarillo in 1965. She preceded him in death in 1987. He has lived in Randall County since 1928. He farmed and ranched southeast of Canyon for 60 years. He moved to Canyon in 1950. Survivors include one sister, Undine Makeig, of Amarillo and one nephew, Richard Makeig, and wife, Levetta, of Kemp, Texas.
