John Doan

John Parker Doan, 74, of Tulia, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017.  Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Pastor Curtis House, Harvest Christian Fellowship officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Brooks Chapel. Parker Doan was born on November 8, 1943 in Tulia to John Allen and Rachel Charlotte Parker Doan.  He was the grandson of the late Hugh and Abbie Parker and Arthur and Ruth Doan.  He graduated from Tulia High School in 1962 and was a lifetime rancher in the Tulia area.  Parker loved horses and being outdoors and was especially proud of his sons and his grandchildren.  Survivors include two sons, John Doan and wife, Janice of Canyon and Jason Doan and wife, Allison of Helotes; his sister, Charlotte Tyler and husband, J. T. of Amarillo; two brothers, Billy Doan and wife, June of Lumberton, TX and Bobby Doan and wife, Gay of Frisco; six grandchildren, Avery, Erin, Alex, Lauren, Gracie, and Carter; and six nieces and nephews, Adam Tyler, Cassie Lowe, David and Michael Doan, and Patrick and Matthew Doan.
